Once you arrive at the store, you will wait in either an open spot on Fannin or Prairie and give us a call. We will come out to your car to load all of your groceries, so you don't even have to enter the store! If you are walking, you can enter our lobby and we will complete your order there, quickly sending you on your merry way.
Don't have an accesible computer? We have one in the store! If you need to place an order and happen to be in the area, we have a computer available for you to place your order. Just come into our lobby and ask us for assistance. We are more than happy to assist you with the process.

How do I know that my produce/ meat is fresh? Hide / Show
We provide our customers with a 100% satisfaction guarantee! We know that shopping online and having someone else pick your items for you is a risk that could potentially lead to getting less than top quality items. Because of this, we offer our guarantee, which means that we look at every single item we give you. We won't give you an apple with a huge bruise on the side or a carton of strawberries with a moldy berry hidden on the bottom. This is because we actually care to monitor our produce and remove anything that is not of top quality. We document the merchandise provided so that we can later audit our employees to make sure that they are giving you the quality you deserve. If anything does slip past us, and we regretably end up providing it to you, then you are entitled to that item for free and a replacement. Same goes for our meat! Our meat section has individual pictures of each item so that you can pick the exact package that you are looking for, so you will know exactly what your meat will look like when we bag it!

Being that we moved our point of sale from the store to online, we are able to remove a lot of the overhead costs associated with operating a grocery store. How does this benefit you? Well, because we have to spend less to operate, we can charge you less than other stores! Cash registers cost a pretty penny, and the software to keep them operating is a continuous cost that we simply do not have. Keeping a store updated with current prices is also simplified with a simple upload rather than having a person individually change every price tag on the shelf. No price tags, more money saved!
Produce and meat are also protected in our format. Because we do not allow customers to come into contact with our merchandise, you don't have to worry about who has touched your apples last or if they have been left out in the open for hours on end. We leave all of our produce refrigerated until provided to the customer. This means less spoilage, fresher produce, and virtually no contact with flies and mold spores that other stores constantly have to combat with their doors opening and closing all day.
We are also able to reduce "shrink" which is a fancy grocery term for people stealing, breaking, and misplacing merchandise in the store. Nobody will be breaking your eggs, and that's a promise!
Probably the most beneficial aspect of our business is the amount of time you will save with us verus conventional grocery stores. People spend 1.5 hours on average every week walking aisles in grocery stores; but with us, you don't even have to go inside. Buying groceries is as simple as creating your grocery list and checking out. You can create a running list of items you need to purchase and have them ready for you as needed. Your time is valuable. Can I shop inside the store? Hide / Show
Technically, yes. We have a computer available inside the lobby that you can use to place an order if you are in the area. However, we do not allow you to peruse the aisles like a typical grocery store. That's sort of the reason why we are better. We do the aisle walking for you to save you time. Never worry about us moving your favorite bag of chips to aisle 7 instead of 2! It will always be a quick search away. (Or, right in your grocery list!)

This has been a very pressing issue of debate. Is it a strawberry? A grape? An apple? A radish? It's what ever you want it to be!
But, really, Jean, a radish?
Our logo is in the shape of a diamond as a referance to our abbreviated name, GEM, and to reflect our standard for service and quality. Like a diamond, we outshine our competition and provide only the best to our customers.
How do the reusable bags work? Hide / Show
On your first order, we give you bags for free! When you place your next order, you will return your old bags to the associate assisting you with your order, and we will credit them to your account. As long as your account has no more than 5 outstanding bags that haven’t been returned, then you don’t ever have to worry about being charged for bags! If you want to keep the bags, which we completely understand, we will notify you within 30 days that your account will be charged for the bags not returned. This is charged to your account at $1.50 per bag. Why do we use reusable bags?
1. Customers get their groceries packaged in quality, cloth bags that will not break like plastic bags when they are being carried inside. They also don’t hurt your fingers as much when you carry ten at a time!
2. The reduced usage of plastic bags helps to protect the environment from unnecessary waste. Plastic bags can take 20 years to decompose, so we are doing our part to help the environment!
3. Without the expense of plastic packaging, we are able to reduce our prices even further than other stores who do provide plastic bags.
4. If you don’t want to use our cloth bags, we also can provide your groceries in one of our boxes. These are 100% free of charge! Just let us know in the comments box of your order that you would prefer the boxes.
